DIAZ, Teodora

Teodora "Doris" Diaz, 92, passed away in Gilbert on Tuesday, April 16, 2002. She was born in Jalos Totillian, Jalisco, Mexico on April 1, 1910. As a homemaker, Mrs. Diaz knitted, crocheted and used her artistic abilities in creating paintings for the home. Her husband, Serino R. Diaz, preceded her in death. Survivors include sons, Serino B. (Josiane) Diaz of Paris, France, and Joe V. (Reina) Diaz of Arroyo Grande, California; daughters, Bertha (Larry) Palacio of Gilbert and Julia (Fred) Celaya of Florence; a brother, Nolbert Casillas of Mesa; 18 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Services were held Friday, April 19, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, with Fr. Augustine Kattady celebrating the Mass of Christian Burial. Interment was as Fairview Cemetery. The Superior Funeral Home handled the arrangements. 04/23/02
