Arizona Journal Miner, Prescott, Arizona Territory February 11, 1911, page 3 Murders Woman And Shoots Rival Alexander Oaks Kills Paramour, wounds Artilleryman and Fires Bullet Into His Own Brain Jealous because she told him that she intended to forsake him for Fred Kimbro, a dashing soldier of the machine gun platoon at Fort Whipple, Alexander A. Oaks, shot and killed a woman of the under world known as 'Georgie,' wounded Kimbro in the left arm and then sent a bullet into his own head in room 11, over the Star saloon, Sunday afternoon at 2:45 o'clock. The woman died instantly, two bullets lodged in her brain, Transcriber's note: Miss Brown is buried in an unmarked grave at the Citizens Cemetery in Prescott, Arizona.
