BRUNFELDT, Emil

Prescott Journal-Miner, Prescott, Arizona Friday, August 31, 1917, page 1, column 6 Stoddard Man Suicides In Hospital Emil Plumfelt (sic Brunfeldt), a patient in a local hospital in this city committed suicide at 11 o'clock last night by hanging himself from a hook in the closet door of his room. The dead man's body was discovered a few minutes after the rash act was committed. The night nurse had gone to his room to administer a hypodermic to relieve the pain which the man had been suffering from, and made the shocking discovery. Plumfelt (sic Brunfeldt) was a German about 35 years of age, and had come to the hospital several days ago for treatment for a bad attack of gall stones. He had been working in the mines at Stoddard for some time, and is known to have a brother living at Miami. Coroner McLane summoned a jury and reviewed the remains at a late hour last night. A verdict of suicide was returned. The body was taken to the Ruffner undertaking parlors. Transcriber's note: Mr. Brunfeldt is buried in an unmarked grave at the Citizens Cemetery in Prescott, Arizona.
