| Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ >>> Published on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 <<< It is with heavy hearts that the family of Yvonne E. Nistico-Hendrix, 69, known as “Bunny” to family and close friends, announces her sudden passing on Dec. 6, 2017 in Lake Havasu City. Yvonne was born March 25, 1948 in McKeesport Pennsylvania. Yvonne graduated from Downey High School in 1966. Throughout her life, Yvonne enjoyed traveling for work as an operating engineer. She loved to tell people, “I’ve lived in 48 states and 2 countries.” Yvonne settled in Havasu in 2001. She was a Harley Davidson enthusiast and avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Yvonne enjoyed being a member and a recently-elected officer (treasurer) of the ladies auxiliary for the Fraternal Order of Eagles #4299. Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Dorothy MacDonald, brothers Chuck and Dick MacDonald and sister Beverly Carper. Yvonne will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Steve Hendrix; daughter and best friend HeatherDee Elliott; son William McHaney II; stepsons Shane and Jeremy Hendrix; stepdaughter Chelsi; seven grandchildren: JaVonne, Billy, Melany, Collin, Eva, Estella, and Royal; three stepgrandchildren: Nathan, Liam, and Neveah; sister Janet Thurston-Dockens, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. A celebration of life in memory of Yvonne is Saturday, Dec. 16, at 12:30 p.m. at the Fraternal Order of Eagles #4299, 1561 Marlboro Dr. in Havasu. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Norona Effect Inc., 1642 McCulloch Blvd N317, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403 Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
