| Prescott Evening Courier, Prescott, Arizona Thursday, August 11, 1931, page 2, column 1 Pioneer Resident Of County Passes Mrs. Celia Bennett, 69, died at the home of her son, Henry Bennett at Kirkland last night following an illness of several months, it was learned here today. Mrs. Bennett, the widow of the late Lon Bennett, rancher and freighter, who died several years ago, was a native of Prescott and had spent her entire life here and in the Thompson Valley area, where her husband formerly owned a ranch near Yava. She is survived by three sons, Guy Bennett, who lives at Thompson Valley, Henry and Preston of Kirkland. Funeral services under the direction of Lester Ruffner will be held at Thompson Valley with burial in the cemetery there at 5 o'clock Saturday afternoon. |
