Hugh Mosher Dies Here; Former Resident

The death occurred yesterday afternoon, at 1:30 o'clock, in a local
hospital, of Hugh A. Mosher, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Roland
Mosher. Friends will remember that his father, who died some years
ago, was at one time county recorder in Prescott.

Hugh Mosher, who had been living in Gallup, New Mexico, was brought
here Tuesday morning and hospitalized. He had been ill since
November last, when he met with an accident in the railroad yards at
Delen, New Mexico, when he hurt his foot getting off a train. He
had been employed by the Santa Fe railroad for 28 years, formerly as
a conductor, laterly as brakeman. He worked for many years out of
San Bernardino, Calif., and then, in recent years out of Gallup.

Deceased was born August 18, 1892, in Prescott, where he attended
the local schools, including the high school. His wife died in
1940, in San Bernardino. He was a member of the San Bernardino
Masonic lodge, and had held office in the Brotherhood of Railroad
trainmen.

Surviving are his son, Hugh W. Mosher, QM 3/c USN; his brother,
Roland C. Mosher, who is a deputy U.S. marshall here, a sister, Mrs.
Glen Shaw, manager of the Mission hotel in Bakersfield, Calif., and
a nephew, Sinclair M. Louttit, principal of the Washington school in
Prescott.

Funeral services will be held at the Lester Ruffner Funeral Home
Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev. Frank C. Matthews will
officiate at the services, which will be followed by interment in
Mountain View cemetery.
