Arizona Republican, Phoenix, Arizona Territory Saturday, December 19, 1896, page 8.1 Cornelius Byron, a highly esteemed Yavapai miner, died in Prescott Thursday of consumption. ---------------------------------- Arizona Weekly Journal-Miner, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, December 23, 1896, page 3, column 1 (From Wednesday's Daily) Cornelius Byron, an old time miner of this section died at the county hospital at an early hour this morning. He had been an inmate at the hospital for about two months, coming there from Fools Gulch. Deceased was 68 years old and had a warm host of friends among miners. His funeral will take place tomorrow. Transcriber's note: Mr. Byron is buried at the Citizens Cemetery in Prescott, Arizona.
