| Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ >>> Published on Sunday, December 17, 2017 <<< Esther Mae Jackson, 83, passed away peacefully at home on Dec. 11, 2017. She was born in Sioux City, Iowa on April 18, 1934, the daughter of Leroy and Mary Fader. She and her husband Richard Jackson moved from California to Lake Havasu City in 1991. They became very active in the VFW Post 9401 where Esther served as treasurer of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary for six years. She also was the manager of the bingo games for four years and many other volunteer programs. After retirement from volunteer service, she enjoyed traveling and entertaining. Her hobbies were cross stitching and reading. Esther is survived by her daughter Cathey Jean (Larry) Fielding, grandsons Chris and Robert (Ileen) Engle, son Steven W. (Teri) Leuck, granddaughter Tammi Leuck, grandson Allen Leuck, stepsons Jim, Hank and David (Jackson) Stephens, and many great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her four-legged furry friend Lil’ Bit and bestest friend and sister Mary Kennedy. Esther was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Mary and Bud Cielinski, and husband Richard Jackson. A memorial service is at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Hospice of Havasu. |
