| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, December 20, 2017, page 6a James H. Gandy, age 80, of Nineveh, Pennsylvania, died Friday, Dec. 15, 2017 in his home. Mr. Gandy was born April 7, 1937 in Adin, California, a son of the late John H. and Meda I. Brooks Gandy. Mr. Gandy attended Yavapai College in Prescott, Arizona, and had served in the U.S. Army. On Nov. 22, 1956, he married Barbara Caldwell Gandy, who survives. Mr. Gandy was a retired entrepreneur. He had worked in the building trades. He had operated businesses in Prescott, where he resided for 27 years. For the past 19 years he lived in Nineveh. Mr. Gandy was a committeeman for the Greene County Republican Party and a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 461 in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania. Mr. Gandy loved to travel and to spend time with his family. His hobbies included fishing, dancing and scuba diving. He was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Surviving in addition to his wife of 61 years, Barbara, are a son, Jim Gandy Jr. of Prescott; a daughter, Lesley Stockdale (Chris) of Nineveh; five grandchildren, Samantha and Jake Gandy, and C.J., Colton, and Carly Stockdale; and one brother, Mike Gandy of Gustine, California. Deceased is a step-brother Charles Frye. Friends will be received from noon to 2 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2017 in the Nineveh United Methodist Church, in Nineveh where services will follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Don Wilson officiating.
