FERREIRA, Riaan

Riaan Ferreira, 35, of Safford passed away Sunday May 3, 2009. He was born April 30, 1974, in Johannesburg, South Africa, to Hendrick and Ester Ferreira.

Riaan received a degree in engineering, specializing in robotics. He moved to Arizona from South Africa in 2004 and married Shannon Daniels on Dec. 3, 2005. He was a wonderful husband and loving father to his three girls, Kaitlyn, Nicole and Samantha. He delighted in being with his children. Riaan enjoyed playing and watching rugby and golf. He will be missed by all who knew him. 

Riaan is survived by his wife, Shannon; daughters, Kaitlyn, Nicole and Samantha; parents, Hendrick and Ester; a brother; a sister; nephew, Zander; and niece, Denica. He was preceded in death by his uncle, Pete.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, May 9, at 3 p.m in the Thatcher LDS Stake Center with visitation one hour prior to services. Arrangements were under the direction of the Caldwell Funeral Chapel.
