Jeffrey Dean Bailey

Jeffrey Dean Bailey, a 19 year resident of the Kingman and Seligman
area’s left us too soon on Dec.6, 2017 at age 50.

Jeff was born in San Bernardino to Clayton and Elaine Bailey on June
6, 1967 where he lived until moving to Brewster, Washington where he
graduated from Brewster High School in 1986 before entering the Navy.

Jeff served in the Navy from 1986 until 1994. Jeff was an Honor’s
Graduate of Gunner’s Class “A” School in 1987, graduating 4th in his
class, and was honorably discharged as a Gunner’s Mate M (Missiles)
Class “C”. Jeff received a National Defense Service Medal, Sea Service
Deployment Ribbon (3rd Award), Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal,
Second Good Conduct Award, Navy Battle “E” Award and Expert Pistol
Shot Medal. Jeff worked Law Enforcement while serving in the Navy and
in the private sector for Washington State. Jeff was a Journeyman
Electrician and a Brotherhood of Railway Signalmen Union member. Jeff
was employed as a Signalman with BNSF Railway at the time of his
death.

Jeff’s greatest love was for family and friends, but his second love
was of off-road motorsports including motorcycles, sand rails, and
Jeeps. “Purple Rail Jeff”, “Frobails” or “Sandslinger” was known and
loved by many.

Jeff is survived by his wife Marta and their children; Danielle (Mike)
Ziegenmeyer of Kingman, Arizona, Jacquelyn (Nick) Randell of Spokane
Valley, Washington, Stephanie (Michael “Jay”) Layton of Kingman,
Arizona and Wesley Bailey of Kingman, Arizona. “Grumpy Bear”, as he
was called by his six grandchildren, also leaves behind Natashia,
Jolene, and Amy Ziegenmeyer, Annabel Randell, Zaileigh Larson, and
Michael “Junior” Layton.

Jeff is also survived by his father Clayton Bailey of Brewster,
Washington, sister Tracey (Scott) Reagles of Brewster, Washington, in-
laws Tom (Connie) Duffin of Kingman, Arizona, as well as many Aunt,
Uncles, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Jeff was preceded in death by his mother Elaine Bailey and
granddaughter Charlotte Randell.

Services will be held at Sutton Memorial Funeral home on Jan. 6, 2018
at 2 p.m. with a celebration of life to follow at the Bailey home.
