A private cremation will be held at Bradshaw Chapel in Prescott Valley. He was a proud 20- year Marine veteran. After military retirement in 1977, he moved to Prescott, Arizona, where he became switchboard operator/supervisor at the VA Medical Center, retired after 20 years. He worked at Walmart for the past 11 years, up until a short illness took his life. Robert was one of 11 children born to James and Marion Charlton. He is preceded in death by his parents, three siblings and daughter, Melynda. He is survived by his wife, Susan; former wife, Sharon; his children, Robert Charlton (Debra) and Theresa McGlothlin; three step-children, Della Hagestad, Jackie Hagestad (Deirdre) and Peggy Wilmot (Mike); 18 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and seven siblings.
