HOUGHTALING, Mrs.

Arizona Weekly Journal-Miner, Prescott, Arizona Territory Wednesday, January 9, 1889, page 3, column 7 Mrs. Houghtaling, widow of the late Mr. Houghtaling, died last night after a very brief illness. She had been an untiring worker, and on Christmas day fell to the floor from exhaustion. She was carried to her bed, where she remained until her death, being unconscious a large portion of the time. The immediate cause of death is stated to have been inflammation of the brain. The remote cause, however, as well as the cause of her husband's death, was from injuries received in a runaway accident in Los Angeles a few years ago.
