DUTCHER, (DR.), Egbert William

Arizona Weekly Journal Miner, Prescott, Arizona Territory Wednesday, September 28, 1898, page 2, column 5 THE LAST SAD RITES Funeral Services This Afternoon Over the Remains of the Late Dr. E.W. Dutcher. The last kindly offices which could be rendered to the remains of a human being are being had this afternoon at 6 o'clock over all that was mortal of the late Dr. E.W. Dutcher, at his late residence on Pleasant Avenue. The Episcopal burial services are being held, and at the conclusion of which the remains will be escorted by members of the Masonic and Workmen's lodges, to both of which deceased belonged, to the depot from where they will be shipped tomorrow morning to Allegheny (sic), New York, for burial in a family plot, where deceased and Mrs. Dutcher have children buried. The remains will be accompanied by Mrs. Dutcher and her son Egbert and by C.H.B. Carter. An all pervading gloom hangs over the town on account of this untimely death, occasioned as it was, by such an accident. The sympathies of the entire community go out to the bereaved wife and children of the deceased in this dark hour of their affliction, which no earthly balm or consolation can heal.
