| Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ >>> Published on Sunday, December 31, 2017 <<< Michael James Martin went to be with our Lord in Heaven Oct. 31, 2017. Michael was born March 20, 1959 in North Hollywood, California to Russell and Claudia Marie Martin (Meahl). He moved to Parker in 1976 and worked in off-road fabricating. He made a name for himself as a talented fabricator in the 1980s-era off-road racing world. Michael became a real estate appraiser in 1987 at Appraisal Services, then in 2006 opened Appraisal Shop MJM Inc. Michael married Susanna McCowan in 1991. They were best friends who were married for 26 years. They raised their children Taylor and Lyle in Lake Havasu City. Mike loved the outdoors. Anything he took an interest in, he learned to the fullest. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and backpacked with his brothers and childhood friends all over the Western states. He loved his family and took them exploring on outdoor adventures. Mike was loved by his children, nieces and nephews, as kids were very fond of him. He adored his grandson, Jesiah James. Mike, we miss your presence greatly. Your memory we treasure. Never forgotten. Loving you always. Mike is survived by his wife Susie, son Lyle James Martin of Bloomington, Indiana, brother Darrell (Kathy) Martin of Havasu, brother Robert Martin of Pagosa Springs, Colorado, grandson Jesiah James Martin of Prescott, stepfather Brad Meahl of Havasu, father-in- law Lyle (Patty) McCowan of Havasu, aunts Linda, Mary and Janelle of Dexter, Missouri and many nieces and nephews. Michael is preceded in death by his parents Marie Meahl, Russell Martin and daughter Taylor Lynn Martin. Exodus 23:20 Behold, I am going to send an angel before you, to protect you on the way and bring you to the place I have prepared. Phillipians 4:7 And the peace of God, which trancends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
