Judge Noyes' Death

The summons called another of Arizona's old timers from earth came
last night, to Judge A. O. Noyes. He had been ill for several weeks
and his death was not unexpected, as it has been apparent for some
time to both physicians and friends that he could not live.

Deceased was 72 years of age and came to Prescott in 1864, in
company with the late George Lount. He brought the first saw mill
here that was ever operated in Arizona.

He had served at various times as justice of the peace and probate
judge and was universally respected.

He leaves a wife and niece to mourn his loss, the latter having
lived as a member of the family since her childhood.
