Erma Albertina (Mix) Spracklin

Erma Albertina Spracklin, 99, passed away Dec. 25, 2017 in Lake Havasu
City.

She was born Sept. 2, 1918 to Austina Minetta Goreham and Carl Martin
Mix in Lomond, Alberta, Canada. She married Walter A. Spracklin Nov.
10, 1942 in Canada.

Husband Walter was Erma’s true love for 63 years. They lived in
Montreal, Canada, moved to Southern California in 1956 and then
resided in Odessa, Texas. After living there for 20 years, they
retired in Tucson in 1979. They lived in Tucson for 20 years before
moving to Lake Havasu City 16 years ago.

They couple lived briefly in Lancaster, California for two years.
Their move to Havasu in 2001 brought them together with family
members. The family said they enjoyed square dancing, friends,
extensive traveling in their motor home and summers in Flagstaff at
their vacation place.

Erma’s family said she lived her life with dignity, grace, a great
sense of humor, and loving devotion to her family. She always had a
special thank you for everyone. She will be greatly missed by everyone
who knew her.

She is survived by daughter Gail (Robert) Sims; granddaughters Brandi
and Cody Spracklin; grandsons Jeff(Melissa) Sims and Greg(Kristen)
Sims; great-granddaughters Sydney and Sienna Sims and great- grandsons
Tanner and Skyler Sims; and sisters Eileen Churchland and Shirley
Ertmoed.

Erma was preceded in death by her husband, Walter A. Spracklin, son
Ronald W. Spracklin, brothers Walter and Orval Mix and sister Opal
Duthie.

Erma’s memorial service is 2 p.m. on Jan. 13 at Lake Havasu Mortuary’s
chapel.
