Prescott Evening Courier, Prescott, Arizona Sunday, February 16, 1969, page 2, column 3 Mrs. E. Bertha Wood Mrs. E. Bertha Wood, 91, died Friday night at the Prescott Community hospital. Mrs. Wood came to Arizona in 1882 with her family who were bringing cattle into this area from California. Born in California in 1877, Mrs. Wood was well known in Prescott, where she operated the Wood Nursing Home from 1930 until 1963, when she retired. Funeral services are scheduled Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Ruffner Funeral Home, with interment in the family plot at Mountain View Cemetery. Friends may call at the Ruffner Funeral Home between 3:00 and 5:00 this afternoon.
