Ronald Gene Rogerson

Ronald Gene Rogerson, 75, passed away Oct. 18, 2017 in Yucca, Ariz.

He was born to Glenn and Ruth Rogerson, Aug. 5, 1940 in Sisters, Ore.

He married Theresa Charlene Miller in Reno, Nev., Nov. 2, 1963. They
were happily married for 52 wonderful years.

Ron graduated from Bend Senior High in 1958 where he was a state
champion wrestler. He was quite the practical joker and was very
resourceful. He was known for “making art out of junk.” He loved to
restore and reinvent classic cars. He was very proud of his Diamond T
truck. He holds the record for the highest dry-launch of a boat that
he drug up South Sister Cascade Mountain with friends in the mid-
1960s.

Ron is survived by his wife, Theresa Rogerson of Yucca; sons, Shane
Rogerson (Renee) of Price, Utah and Ronald Rogerson (Janice) of Altus,
Okla.; daughter, Ronda Lee King of Miss.; brothers, Jack Rogerson
(Nancy) of Yucca and Louis Rogerson (Jan) of Bend, Ore.; sister, Pat
Henkemeyer (Gene) of Redmond, Ore.; five grandchildren and six great-
grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Ruth Rogerson and
brother, Melvin Rogerson.

Ron had a wonderful sense of humor. He was loved by many and will be
missed very much.

Services will be at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints,
Saturday, Oct. 24 at 1 p.m.

Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and
Crematory.
