Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ >>> Published on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 <<< Ruth Elizabeth Crosby was born April 21, 1916, and she departed this life Sept. 16, 2015. During Ruth’s long life she has lived on both sides of the county. She was born in Boston where she lived until 1947 when she moved to California. She resided in both Los Angeles and the Bay area, until moving to Lake Havasu City in the mid-1980s. Upon moving to Lake Havasu, Ruth joined the Lake Havasu Baptist Church where she was an active member, serving as the Church treasurer until she retired at the age of 98. During Ruth’s 99 years she was married three times and widowed twice. She had three sons, all of whom she outlived. She leaves to cherish her sweet memories five grandchildren: Missy, Nikki, Magenta and Ethan Widner and Michelle Triplett. She was a wonderful great-grandmother to seven great-grandsons. She touched many lives and will be greatly missed. Ruth’s funeral service will be take place Saturday, Sept. 26, at 1 p.m., at Lake Havasu Baptist Church, cake and refreshments to follow in the fellowship hall.
