| Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ >>> Published on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 <<< Susan J. Rawlinson, born Dec. 21, 1946 in Louisville, Ky., to James D., Sr. and Dorothy (Nicols) Tinnell, died quietly and peacefully Aug. 26, 2015 at home with her family at her bedside in Placentia, Calif. She is survived by her husband, Tom; daughter, Jill (Derek) Baker and mother, Dorothy Tinnell; brother, James, Jr., Aunt Lorraine Hazelip of N.C; Uncle Charles E. Tinnell of Kentucky; nephew, Phillip Tinnell, sister-in-law’s, Debbie Tinnell, Teri Sadler, Vivian Barton, Dorothy Purdy and B.J. O’Connor; two nieces, Sarah Tinnell Rushing and Nicole (Richard) Magarrell and three great-nephews, Austin Miller, Chastin and Breydin Rushing, plus multiple cousins. Preceding her in death were her father, James D. Tinnell, Sr.; brother, Mark E. Tinnell and nephew, Patrick A. Tinnell (in Iraq). Susan and Tom were frequent visitors to Lake Havasu City to visit family and to enjoy the foods servied in our multiple brewery restaurants. An avid reader of history, sports and the English Royal Family, along with multiple other interests, she had acquired a large library along with family photographs dating back to the great- grandparents of both the Rawlinson, Tinnell and Nicols families. A Celebration of Life will take place in Placentia, Calif., at a later date. |
