Former Resident Called by Death

Word was received here today of the death of Mrs. Margaret
Chiantaretto at Deming, N.M., yesterday. It is expected that the
body will be brought here for burial.

A native of Italy, Mrs. Chiantaretto came to the United States in
1890, locating at Rich Hill, Mo. The family came to Prescott in
1907. Mrs. Chiantaretto resided here until 1941, when she went to
Deming, where she operated a hotel.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. George Chester, Jr., and Mrs.
Bromfield, of Deming, and two sons, Joe and Ernest, of Prescott.

Funeral arrangements are in charge of the Lester Ruffner Funeral
Home, but no date has been set for services.

Mrs. Chiantaretto's Burial Services Set

Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Chiantaretto, who died in Deming,
N.M., Monday, will be held at the Sacred Heart church at 9 o'clock
tomorrow morning.

Services will be followed by interment in the family plot in the
Citizens' cemetery, where her husband, Michael, and a daughter,
Anna, are buried.

Mrs. Chiantaretto, a native of Italy, came to the United States in
1890, locating at Rich Hill, Mo., and coming to Prescott in 1907.
Since 1914, she had operated a hotel in Deming.

She is survived by two sons, Joe and Ernest, of Prescott; and three
daughters, Mrs. Adeline Chester and Mrs. Bromfield, of Deming,and
Mrs. Emma Bostick, of Los Angeles. Mrs. Chester and Mrs. Bostick
are here for the services.
