Morristown News

The community was saddened by the loss of long time resident, Ilene Dame-Smee. Dame-Smee has been active in the community for more than 30 years. A strong influence in the Morristown School Parent Teacher Association in the early 1970s and beyond, she went on to become a charter member of the GFWC-Morristown.

Dame-Smee served as president of this community service organization and as she did in all her activities, worked on helping people have a cheerful time while volunteering for the area. She opened her home for club events and made all feel welcome.

Dame-Smee worked for Morristown School for a number of years and was a well liked member of the staff. She also served the greater area as president of the Elks Ladies in Wickenburg and much more.

She is survived by four children, 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Her first husband, Harold and two of her children preceded her in her heavenly journey. She will be missed.
