| Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ >>> Published on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 <<< Linda Rae (Brummer) Steele, 62 of Lake Havasu City, formerly of Woodbine, Iowa, died Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2015 at the Hospice House in Omaha, Neb. Linda married Fred Steele in 1999. In 2000, the couple moved to Lake Havasu City. Fred died in February 2004. Linda then worked at Staples for a couple of years. Linda enjoyed reading, watching TV, working on puzzles, playing cards, traveling and crocheting. After she retired, she enjoyed going scuba diving. She also enjoyed short motorcycle trips. She loved to cook and also write the family newsletter. Linda’s greatest joy was being a grandma. Linda was preceded in death by her mother, Winnie Ott; husband, Fred Steele; three brothers, Tom, Jerry and Roger Brummer. She is survived by two children, Thomas (Dana) Neemann of Dunlap, Iowa and Danielle (Jason) Partusch of Omaha, Neb.; five grandchildren; father, Bob (Lori) Brummer of Denison, Iowa; sister, Roberta (Robert) Steiner of Phoenix; two half-brothers, Bobby Brummer of Moorhead, Iowa, Bryan (Theresa) Brummer of Soldier, Iowa; step-sister, Andrea Mallory of Denison, Iowa; step-brother, Justin (Kelli) Blair of Kiron, Iowa; sister-in-law, Julie Brummer of Council Bluffs, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends. Memorial service took place Friday, Aug. 14, at the First Christian Church in Woodbine, Iowa. Fouts Funeral Home of Woodbine, Iowa was in charge of the arrangements. |
