He was surrounded by family and friends in his final days, and took great comfort in knowing he was loved by so many people. A nomad at heart, Terry was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He spent many years in Santa Ana, Carlsbad, and Valley Center, Calif., as well as Chino Valley, Ariz.; however, his true home was Lake Havasu City, where he resided for the last 12 years. Terry was the owner of several restaurants over the years, most recently Papa Bears in Havasu. He loved the restaurant business and the people he met through his work. A loving father, brother, and friend, Terry is survived by his daughter, Mariah, son-in-law, Roland; brother, Dennis, sister-in-law, Pattie; as well as grandchildren, niece and nephews; the Ventura family, and his most wonderful friends. He was preceded in death by his sons, Travis Shader and Steven Archer. Terry was a wonderful man who worked hard to take care of those he loved and he will be missed dearly by all who knew him. A celebration of life will be in Lake Havasu City at a date yet to be determined. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you commit a random act of kindness or offer a helping hand to someone in need. The family would like to offer a special thank you to Hospice of Havasu for all they did to support Terry and his family during his last months. |
