| Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ >>> Published on Sunday, August 30, 2015 <<< Georgia Kay (Gulliver) McKinnon, 71; Kay passed away Sunday morning Aug. 16, 2015 from Myelodysplastic Syndrome, at her daughter’s home in Phoenix; she was surrounded by her loving family and the music of Neil Diamond. She was a lover of life and full of fun. One of her favorite sayings was “Don’t Worry, Be Happy” and that’s how she lived her life. She loved playing cards, going to casino’s, baking and cooking, and getting together with family and friends. She was born July 27, 1944 to Rock Gulliver and Agnes Wagner-Gulliver in Michigan City, Ind. Graduated in 1964 from Elston Senior High School, in Michigan City, Ind. She raised her three daughters in Flagstaff before retiring to Lake Havasu City in 2003. She is survived by her mother, Agnes Gulliver; daughters, Tawnia Mishkin, Shannon Butcher (Jeff), and Cindy McKinnon and special daughter Cynthia Fischer. Her grandchildren, Sara Mishkin and Ian Mishkin; her cat CoCo; brothers, Ray Gulliver (Nancy), and Wayne Gulliver (Juanita); sisters, Nancy Klosinski (Timothy), Kathy Selby (Warren), sister-in-law Karen Gulliver. Proceeded in death by her father, Rock Gulliver and brother, Michael Gulliver. Cremation has taken place and celebration of life memorial service will be Sept. 19, from 2 to 4 p.m. Email newpath43@aol.com for details. Donations can be sent to MDS Foundation in Kay’s name. |
