Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ >>> Published on Monday, August 24, 2015 <<< John Vargas, 76, passed away Aug. 10, 2015 in Lake Havasu City. He was born, Oct. 8, 1939 in Anaconda, Mont. He was in the U.S. Army, 1961-1964. John managed Montana Steakhouse for many years before working at Thunderbolt Middle School as a custodian for ten years, where he loved all the kids. He is survived by his companion of 10 years, Sandy Alexander; his beloved dog, Tookee and Sandy’s dog, Tilley; his three daughters and their families; and ex-wife, Donna (Mike) Allen. At John’s request, there will be no services and he will be cremated. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Western Arizona Humane Society of Lake Havasu City or Hospice of Havasu.
