| Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ >>> Published on Sunday, August 23, 2015 <<< Dalma Luz Nieves passed away at 75 years of age, Aug. 16, 2015 in Lake Havasu City. She was born to Rafael and Arcala Nieves, March 31, 1940 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. She lived in Brooklyn, N.Y. and Massachusetts; then moved to Arizona almost 30 years ago. She was a homemaker and worked at Mission Industries for many years. Dalma loved her family and one of her favorite pastimes was cooking wonderful and delicious meals for them. She also enjoyed reading and traveling to visit her family. She cherished family outings and spending holidays with her loved ones. She was a devoted member of La Iglesia Cristiana De Havasu Church. Dalma is survived by her daughter, Myra Czarneski of Lake Havasu City; sons, Ivan Morales of Gilbert, Ed Santander of Seattle; brother, Jorge Colon of Puerto Rico; sister, Isabella Colon of Puerto Rico; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and an additional grandchild on the way. She is preceded in death by her parents Rafael and Arcala Nieves; son, Pedro Morales; and brother, Neco Nieves. There will be a memorial service at 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 29 at Havasu Christian Church, 341 Mulberry Ave. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend. She is deeply loved and will be deeply missed. Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
