| Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ >>> Published on Saturday, August 15, 2015 <<< Jeanne Elizabeth Jones was born in Gibsonia, Penn., Feb. 2, 1928 and went to Heaven, Aug. 3, 2015. She was the daughter of John and Olga Sirney. She resided in California, Hawaii, and Flagstaff before settling in Lake Havasu City. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah (Terry) Marxen and her son, John (Woody) McDonald; and she is loved by her grandchildren, Matthew and Abigail Marxen and John (Nicole) and Shannon McDonald; and her great-grandchildren, Justin and Miles Marxen. Jeanne loved God, her family, and travel. She spoke fondly of her years in Hawaii. She reflected on her two pilgrimages to The Holy Land with her daughter and granddaughter Abbie in 1994 and again in 1998 with her daughter and grandson John as a time of strengthened faith in Christ. Her final days were spent in the comfort of her daughter’s home, sharing stories of her life with her children and grandchildren. Jeanne believed that love is more important than anything else in this life, and she will be remembered for the love she embodied in her family and friends. Her actions and love have encouraged all who knew her, and we know she continues to love and encourage us from her place in Heaven. A private interment will take place in Lake Havasu City. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Hospice of the Valley or Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Lake Havasu City. |
