Daniel Anthony Caterina, 76, of Lake Havasu City, passed away on Jan.
1, 2018.

He was born Aug. 5, 1941 in Philadelphia, the son of Daniel and Anne
(Anastasia) Caterina.

Dan grew up in Wildwood, New Jersey where he met and married his love,
Joan (Griffiths). They married Aug. 6, 1960. The couple set up house
in Avalon, New Jersey and had three children.

In his years there, Dan owned the barber shop, The Razor’s Edge,
worked in construction and volunteered as a fireman for the Avalon
Volunteer Fire Department. In the fall of 1978, Dan and Joan packed up
their family and moved to Lake Havasu City.

Dan was a barber for more than 52 years and owner of Havasu-Cut Ups
Barber Shop. He loved being a barber because it brought him close to
people.

Dan enjoyed many sports and hobbies over the years. He played and
coached basketball and also played golf. He enjoyed dealing in
antiques and woodworking. Dan also had fun playing darts and fantasy
football where he met and made many friends. He made friends wherever
he went and is fondly remembered for his sense of humor.

Dan is survived by his wife Joan, children Dan (Krista), Stephanie
Gray (Jim) and Christine Cardeccia (Gary); seven beloved grandchildren
Christopher, Renata, Tessa, Robbie, Gianna, Patrick and Sophia; sister
Charlotte Lauriello (Ben); as well as many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life is set for 11 a.m., Jan. 27 at the Elks Lodge,
3532 McCulloch Blvd. with a reception to follow.
