Karl William Russell

Karl Russell died at his home in Lake Havasu City with his family at
his side.

He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and loved his early years in
Burgettstown, Pennsylvania. He attended Robert Morris Business School
and served his country during the Korean War.

Karl married Jean Lee in 1955; they were married over 62 years and had
two sons.

He was employed by General Signal Corp. as comptroller and moved every
four or five years to work in various branches. Later he worked for
Hehr International in California.

After he retired, Karl and Jean traveled for six months throughout the
United States. They came to Havasu, had a house built and lived here
16 years.

He volunteered in church and the community, including Hospice of
Havasu, the Senior Center and the dementia group as its treasurer.

The couple lived in Prescott Valley for seven years before coming back
to Havasu. Karl was retired 30 years.

Karl is survived by his wife Jean, sons Barr (Hellen) from Chino,
California and Jay of Ontario, California, one grandson Tyler
(Heather) of Chino, California, sister Robin of Denver and many
nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service is at the Community Presbyterian Church, Saturday,
Jan. 13 at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be given to Hospice of Havasu or
Community Presbyterian Church.
