Death Summons Calls Away Good Man
W. B. Clark, one of the best known and respected residents of this
city, passed away yesterday afternoon at his home in East Sheldon
street, as the result of an accident just a week previous, when he
fell under his team sustaining injuries from which lockjaw developed
on Friday last. While it was not considered his injuries were not
serious, complications arose, however, the fatal affliction
unexpectedly developed.
Mr. Clark's death has caused universal sorrow in the community,
where he had resided since 1895. On his arrival in this section he
became interested in mining at Walker, and in other pursuits won the
good will of all for his honesty and upright dealings in various
lines. This business method he followed strictly in after years,
and after removing to Prescott engaged in different callings, always
maintaining a high regard for the interests of all with he was
associated. Personally he was a kind and open-hearted man, making
many friends and not an enemy.
He was born at Tenants Harbor, Maine, December 8, 1954, and was in
his 64th year. He was a former superintendent of streets of this
city, and affiliated with the Woodsmen of the World.
He is survived by a widow, a daughter, Mrs. John H. Robinson, of
Prescott, a son, Lloyd Clark, of Prescott, and a daughter, Mrs.
Nattie Foley, of Pueblo, Colo.
The funeral services will be held from the home on East Sheldon
street, Tuesday afternoon. Interment in Citizens cemetery, in
family plot.
