Rodeo Rider Dies In Local Hospital

Irvin Frederick Clarke, 21 year-old, one of the participants in the
last Frontier Days celebration in July, died at 5 o'clock this
morning in Mercy hospital where he had been undergoing treatment
since Aug. 9.

Here at the time of his death were his mother, Mrs. George Clarke,
and two other sons, who reside in Phoenix. The elder Mr. Clarke and
five daughters, who also live in Phoenix, were to arrive in Prescott
today.

The body is at the McLellan mortuary at 143 South Cortez street.
Burial will take place in the Citizens' cemetery but the date has
not been fixed.

About 18 months ago the deceased sustained injuries by a hit and run
driver, whose car killed the horse young Clarke was riding at the
time.
