| Prescott Evening Courier, Prescott, Arizona Monday, August 14, 1933, page 7, column 5 Rodeo Rider Dies In Local Hospital Irvin Frederick Clarke, 21 year-old, one of the participants in the last Frontier Days celebration in July, died at 5 o'clock this morning in Mercy hospital where he had been undergoing treatment since Aug. 9. Here at the time of his death were his mother, Mrs. George Clarke, and two other sons, who reside in Phoenix. The elder Mr. Clarke and five daughters, who also live in Phoenix, were to arrive in Prescott today. The body is at the McLellan mortuary at 143 South Cortez street. Burial will take place in the Citizens' cemetery but the date has not been fixed. About 18 months ago the deceased sustained injuries by a hit and run driver, whose car killed the horse young Clarke was riding at the time. See Also: Arizona Gravestone Photo Project |
