| Rita 'Chiquita' Ramirez Morales Copper Basin News (Kearny, AZ) - Wednesday, June 3, 2015 Rita Ramirez "Chiquita" Morales, at the age of 90 years old, was granted her angel wings on May 21, 2015 in Apache Junction at Banner Goldfield Hospital. Her final days were spent surrounded by her family that Rita loved throughout her very memorable life. A consummate mother and homemaker, Rita was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. She enjoyed sewing and over the years she would sew many items for her kids and grandkids. Items of which were handed down to great-grandkids. She always had a bowl of beans and homemade tortillas on her table. Everyone was welcome. Rita had an unwavering faith in God and was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Rita was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Jose R. Morales. Also preceding her in death were her sisters, Margaret Bilducia and Michaela Granillo; her three brothers, Carlos Ramirez, Feliz Ramirez and Ramon Ramirez; and her parents, Romula and Felix Ramirez. Rita is survived by her sister, Romula (Socorro) Placencia; brother, Francisco (Angelita) Ramirez; sons, Jose (Jenny) Morales, Felix (Olivia) Morales and Robert Morales; and daughters, Carol (Jerry) Burnam, Rosalie Morales and Amanda (Michael) Morales-Calderon. She is also survived by grandchildren, Victoria Padilla, Felix (Victoria) Morales, Barbara (Martin) Peraza, Joe (Patricia) Morales, Michael (Felecia) Morales, Traci Borquez, Martina Burnam and Michelle (Marc) Morales-Chung, Evonna Martinez, Martin Aguirre and Marisela (Adolfo) Espinoza. Rita also is survived by 22 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, friends and honorary grandkids. Funeral services celebrating her life were held on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Hayden. She was interred at Mountain View Cemetery in Hayden. A reception followed the services at the Town of Hayden Golf Course Club House.
