COOLIDGE — Joseph Patrick "Joey" Ramirez, 54, of Coolidge, also known as "JP," died on May 23, 2016.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at First Assembly of God in Coolidge. The funeral will follow at 9:30, with Pastor Arnold Ritchey officiating. Burial will be in Florence Cemetery.

Mr. Ramirez was born on Nov. 8, 1961, in Florence to Joe and Bettie Ramirez. He served 12 years in the Army including two tours in Operation Desert Storm and the Gulf War. He later worked in corrections and was an immigration officer.

He enjoyed lowriders, painting cars and playing softball and poker. He loved taking long rides on his motorcycle, spending time with his family and spoiling his grandchildren. He also loved dancing and listening to music.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Rosie; four daughters, Michelle Marquez, Leetha Cantrell, Candiss and Hannah; two brothers, Mark and Adam; his father; a sister, Beckie Jones; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother.
