| Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ >>> Published on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 <<< Troy Lee Hammonds passed away at 77 years of age, July 11, 2015 in Lake Havasu City. He was born to Ella Beatrice and Walter Lee Hammonds, July 21, 1937 in Pittsburg, Kan. He was raised in Fullerton, Calif. and raised his family in Norwalk, Calif., then retired in Lake Havasu City. He served in the U.S. Army, earned a bachelor’s degree from Cal State Fullerton and he was employed as a distribution manager at Bristol- Meyers. He enjoyed fishing, boating, reading, movies, computers, Laughlin trips, the Bee Gees and playing solitaire. Troy is survived by his son, Randy Lee Hammonds of Chino Hills, Calif.; daughter, Cheryl Ann Diaz of Winchester, Calif., brother, Raymond Hammonds of Oklahoma; four grandchildren and one great- grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Beatrice Hammonds; and his siblings, Tom and Robert Hammonds. Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
