| he Prescott Courier, Prescott, Arizona Monday, May 6, 1990, page 2c Pete Heydorn - Pete Heydorn, 76, a Prescott native and long-time Prescott business man, died Thursday, May 3, at Yavapai Regional Medical Center. He was born March 7, 1914, in Prescott and lived in the Verde as a child. Heydorn operated Pete Heydorn Salvage Co. for 27 years and retired in 1984. He was a 25-year and life member of the National Rifle Association, was an avid bowler for over 20 years, supported the Prescott Public Schools, Sharlot Hall Museum and Yavapai Community College and offered a helping had to any who needed it. He was also an elder in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Survivors include: his wife, Myrtle of Dewey; four sons, Joseph of Phoenix, Robert of Eureka, Calif., Ronald of Victoria, Calif., and William of Southern California; two daughter, Elizabeth Beebee and Norma Cox, both of Prescott; two brothers, Earl of Prescott County Club and Edmund of Prescott Valley; 19 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m., Monday, May 7, at the L.D.S. Church, 1001 Ruth St. Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m., Sunday at Memory Chapel Mortuary, 131 Grove Ave., and from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the Relief Society Room at the church. Burial will be in Mt. View Cemetery. |
