Hosie N. Barnebee

Hosie N. Barnabee (sic: Barnebee) died Jan. 13 in Wickenburg. He was 86.

Mr. Barnabee was born June 25, 1907 in Mendon, Mich., and lived in Arizona for 21 years.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Juanita Barnabee; sister Dorothy McKain of Sturgis, Mich.; niece Ruby Cree of Fulton, Mich.; nephews William Howe of Sturgis and Roy McKain of Wisconsin.

Mr. Barnabee was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Lettie Barnabee.

At age 7, Mr. Barnabee moved with his parents to Vicksburg, Mich.

He attended the high school in Vicksburg and at age 18, went to work at the Lee Paper Company in Vicksburg.

On Oct. 12,1929, he was married to Juanita Pyle of La Grange, Ind.

After being employed at Lee for 24 years, he went to work at the Upjohn Pharmaceutical Company in Kalamazoo, Mich.

There, he was employed on plant security. He worked at Upjohn 21 years and retired on June 30, 1972. Three months after retiring, the Barnabees sold their home in Vicksburg and came to Wickenburg.

When heath permitted, Mr. Barnabee was active in the Wickenburg Camera Club and the American Association of Retired Persons. He was a member of Saint Anthony's Church in Wickenburg.

Funeral services have been held.

Arrangements were made by Frey Funeral Home of Wickenburg.
