Omar (Glenn) Kennedy

Omer “Glenn” Kennedy, 83, passed away May 11, 2015 at the Payson
Medical Hospital in Payson. He was born July 24, 1931 in Tulsa, Okla.,
to Omer and Erlene (Wickham) Kennedy. Glenn lived in Tulsa, until he
was two years old and moved to Madera, Calif. with his family. He
attended Madera High School. After high school, Glenn began working
various jobs and became a member of the National Guard in California
serving six years. Glenn became employed with McCulloch Corporation in
1955 in Los Angeles and continued working for McCulloch and moved to
Lake Havasu City in 1972 when the company moved its plant here. While
working for McCulloch, Glenn worked his way up to a supervisor of the
chrome-plating department. Glenn retired after 40 years with McCulloch
on Jan. 1, 1995 in Lake Havasu City.

Glenn enjoyed playing sports with his boys and played in men’s
softball leagues. He enjoyed bowling and in the McCulloch bowling
leagues. He loved to fish, but was never fond of eating what he caught
and gave the fish to friends or strangers. He also loved camping and
was a member of the Lake Havasu City Sam’s. After retirement, Glenn
and his wife spent summers in Dolores, Colo. and eventually moved to
Star Valley, outside of Payson.

Glenn was preceded in death by parents, Omer and Erlene; brother,
Allan “Butch”; sister, Patricia; daughter, Diana and grandson,
Jeremiah.

Glenn is survived by his wife, Pat of Star Valley; sons, Michael
(Cheryl) of Sun City, Ariz., William (Sarah) of Houston, David of Star
Valley; daughters, Debbie of Macomb, Mo. and Terri (Dan) of
Hedgesville, W.Va.; brothers, Bobby of Fresno, Calif. and Jerry of
Calif.; sixteen grandchildren (spouses) and eighteen great-
grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A celebration of life service will be at the Lamplighter RV Park
Community Hall, 3933 E. Highway 260 Star Valley, Ariz., at 11 a.m. on
July 3.
