| Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ >>> Published on Monday, June 22, 2015 <<< Penny Leamons passed away at 91 years of age, June 15, 2015 in Lake Havasu City. She was born to George and Harriett Jones, Oct. 27, 1923 in Magnet, Neb. Penny and Bill had a loving marriage for 65 years until Bill’s passing in 2009. Emma retired from Long Beach school district; she was a principal’s secretary at Lakewood High School. She loved her family, friends as well as pool parties and playing cards with her Lakeridge Estates neighbors. Her favorite card games were cribbage and pinnacle; she loved golfing, cruises, traveling in the motor home, and their cabin in the high Sierra. Her very favorite time was spent with her Granddaughter JaVae. Emma is survived by her son, David Leamons/Nancy and granddaughter, JaVae of Lake Havasu City. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Leamons; parents, George and Harriett Jones; daughter, JaVae Leamons; brothers, Dean and Sam Jones. There will be a celebration of life at a later date. Donations can be made to Hospice of Havasu. Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
