| Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ >>> Published on Saturday, January 20, 2018 <<<Donald A. On Dec. 20, 2017 Donald A. Hacker, 85, of Lake Havasu City, passed away peacefully at home. Don was born in Tacoma, Washington to Harry and Flora Hacker on March 5, 1932. He attended Clover Park High School where he excelled in sports and was in the Navy ROTC. After graduation, Don enlisted in the U.S. Navy, where he served during the Korean conflict. Don moved back to Lakewood in 1955. He worked at the Tacoma School District as a sheet metal specialist for 25 years and retired in 1987. Don was a member of the local Sheet Metal Union #150 and was Worshipful Master of the John Paul Jones Masonic Lodge #271. He enjoyed camping, traveling with wife Nancy and spending time with his family and friends. Don is preceded in death by his parents and sisters Elizabeth, Ethel, and Janie. Don is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Nancy, three children, Dennis (Cheryl) Hacker, Danny Hacker, and Charles (Frankie) Hacker and three stepchildren, Laura Baker, Michael Bayer and David (Cheri) Bayer. Don was blessed with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Donations can be made in Don’s name to the Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Lake Havasu City. |
