| Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ >>> Published on Friday, June 12, 2015 <<< Robert (Bob) Langejans, 78, passed away peacefully, June 10, 2015. Robert was born Dec. 6, 1936 in Holland, Mich. A Navy veteran, Bob earned his electricians certificate and moved his family of six from Michigan to Lake Havasu City in 1969, where he has resided for the last 46 years. Prior to relocating his family, Bob and Arluene took a flight sponsored by Richard McCulloch to tour Lake Havasu City and look at property. In 1971, Bob established Havasu Electric, a company he ran for nearly 40 years until his retirement. Bob was an avid golfer, playing more than 300 days a year for 25 years with his golf buddies at London Bridge Golf Club, while never missing his sons’ football games and wrestling matches. Bob was also a 25-year member of the Elks Lodge where he had many friends. Bob is survived by his four children, Randy (Bonita) of Fountain Valley, Calif., Ron (Christy) of Honduras, Kelly Glantz (David) of Peoria and Julie Houchin (Jon) of Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Bob is also survived by his sisters, Myra Rietveld and Carol DeVries, both of Holland, Mich. and numerous nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Henrietta, along with brother, Harris, and two sisters, Beatrice and Hazel. There will be no services. |
