| Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ >>> Published on Thursday, June 11, 2015 <<< Thomas R. Thompson, 68, passed away May 22, 2015 in Lake Havasu City. He was born, Feb. 11, 1947 in Cape Girardeau, Mo. to Howard and Mildred (Moore) Thompson. Tommy and his wife, Jeanne, moved to Lake Havasu City 15 years ago, coming from Tucson, where he lived from 1957-2000. He married Jeanne, Oct. 21, 1966 in Tucson. Tommy served in the Tucson Fire Department for 19 years and loved being a part of the department family and helping others. He enjoyed friend and family get-togethers when he wasn't working. He especially loved fast cars, boats and off-road racing as a way to let his free spirit out to shine once in a while and would always say, "Ain't this livin". Tommy will be deeply missed and always loved. Tommy is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 50 years, Jeanne Thompson of Lake Havasu City; son, Kevin (Candace) Thompson; grandson, Tyler Thompson; sister, Susan (James) Farero; brother, Keith (Susan) Thompson; nephews, Steven (Tracie) Farero and Ryan and Sean Thompson as well as many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Mildred Thompson. Condolences can be sent to the family through www.lakehavasumortuary.com.
