With great sadness the family of John T. Ryan, 63, announces his
passing due to a fatal car accident in Lake Havasu City. He was
accompanied by his beloved dog, Lulu who also lost her life.

John was born and raised in the Chicago area where he lived most of
his life; he resided in Georgia before moving to Lake Havasu City to
join the rest of his family in 1986 where he was employed by the
McCulloch Corp until it’s closing. John then pursued his love of
collectibles and antiques becoming a very knowledgeable entrepreneur.

His stories mixed with opinion and humor kept you intrigued by his
knowledge and unending memories. He was passionate about his
opposition to drugs and alcohol; his favorite two t-shirts were one
depicting a turtle reading, “SPEED KILLS” and one picturing “Lulu”
that read “PUGS NOT DRUGS”.

John will be remembered for his service at St. Vincent and by his and
Lulu’s family of friends at Lions Dog Park. John always found the time
and resources to do unexpected acts of kindness for so many. He will
be remembered as a loving son, brother and friend.

John is survived by his mother, Marie T. Ryan-Farland; siblings, Linda
(Fred) Ladner, Diane (Jerry) Koller, Bonnie (Mike) Bartolo, Timothy
(Claudia) Ryan, Carol (Pat) Henry, Thomas (Michelle) Brettmann all of
Lake Havasu; many nieces and nephews; and numerous cousins and other
family members.

John was preceded in death by his father, James J. Ryan.

We all know that John and Lulu are together now in a better place and
at peace, reminding all of us to share love and give love every day!

A mass will be at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, June 13, at 11
a.m., followed by a “Celebration of Life” in the Holy Family Parish
Hall.

Donations in memory of John and Lulu to either the Police Department’s
D.A.R.E. (N.O.V.A.) program or the Western Arizona Humane Society in
Lake Havasu.
