| Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ >>> Published on Sunday, June 7, 2015 <<< Kenneth Paul Otto, 74 of Lake Havasu City, passed away Saturday, May 23, at City of Hope Hospital, Duarte, Calif., surrounded by his children. Ken grew up in West Orange, N.J., the son of the late Charles S. and Ruth (Kirchner) Otto. He served as a West Orange Fire Captain for 25 years before retiring to Lake Havasu City in 2009. "Pops" enjoyed auto racing, fishing, boating, and visiting the Dog Park on the famous channel in Lake Havasu with his dog Zoe. His greatest pleasures were working in his garage with his hotrods and speedboats. He is survived by his ex-wife, Martha (Jennings) Otto of Lake Havasu City; his children, Janine Battaglia and husband John of Somerset, N.J., Beth Van Ness and husband Ron of Cedar Knolls, N.J., Natalie Ruta and husband Sergio of New Providence, N.J., and Kevin Otto and girlfriend Jeri Hoskey of Lake Havasu City. He is also survived by his two brothers Noel Otto and Stanley Otto. Pops was the loving grandfather to Marie Visicaro Bettinger, Brandon Battaglia, Melissa and Sara Pechman, Amanda VanNess and Lindsay, Benjamin and Juliana Ruta. And adoring great-grandfather to Dante and Liam. A memorial will be in the fall in Lake Havasu City.
