| Weekly Phoenix, Herald, Phoenix, Arizona Thursday, September 4, 1884, page 1, column 3 Kicked To Death - Brutal Murder of a Courtesan in Prescott (Special to the Herald) Prescott, Aug. 29 - Miss Jennie Clark, on of the demimonde, of this city, was brutally kicked to death by on Fred Glover, a gambler, at about three o'clock this morning. The affair occurred in the Palace Saloon, and about twenty persons were present and witnessed the revolting spectacle and horrid inhumanity of the murderer who will be fortunate if he escapes lynching.
