Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ >>> Published on Sunday, May 3, 2015 <<< William Robert Wendt passed away at 89 years of age, April 25, 2015 in Lake Havasu City. He was born to William Emil and Mildred Gertrude Wendt, May 24, 1925 in Omaha, Neb. He wed Donna Wendt, Oct. 7, 1946 in Omaha, Neb.; they were married for 64 years. He retired and lived in Lake Havasu City for approximately 30 years. William enjoyed radio controlled model airplanes and he was a Desert Hawks R.C. Club member. He enjoyed Brailling books for kids and he developed a proofreading program for Braille on computers. He is survived by his daughter, Nancy G. Wendt of Lake Havasu City. He is preceded in death by his wife, Donna Wendt; and his parents, William and Mildred Wendt. Donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
