Miladeen (Hardin) Price

Miladeen Hardin Price, born May 28, 1930, in Rosiclare, Illinois,
passed through Heaven’s gates on Friday, Jan. 19, 2018, after losing
her battle with cancer. Her beloved husband, Ernest Price Jr., born
March 25, 1929, in Elizabethtown, Illinois, died of a broken heart,
leaving this earth to be with his one true love on Saturday, Jan.
20, 2018. Both were surrounded by their devoted and loving family.
Their love and respect for one another is the legacy they leave
behind.

Ernest and Miladeen were married June 8, 1950, in Elizabethtown,
Illinois. In 1954 they moved to Prescott, Arizona, with their two
children, Barbara and Jeanie. The youngest of their children, Terry,
was born in 1958. Together in 1964, they owned and operated Willow
Creek Nursery in Prescott, Arizona.

Miladeen worked at Abia Judd School as a food server for 21 years,
retiring in 2010. Prior to that she worked at Aquarium Pump for 15
years. Ernest made a career of mining in Illinois, New Mexico and
Arizona, including, Iron King Mine. After his mining career, he
spent the next 20 years in the construction industry with Hunt
Construction. He retired in 1996.

Miladeen and Ernest were most proud of their family. They were
devoted parents, loving grandparents, playful great-grandparents and
adoring great-great-grandparents.

Miladeen and Ernest are survived by their son-in-law, John Hunt of
Prescott, Ariz.; daughter, Gloria “Jeanie” Weekley of Prescott,
Arizona; and son, Terry Price (Ervin Roberts IV) of Chino Valley,
Arizona. They have 20 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, nine
great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Miladeen and Ernest were avid boaters at Alamo Lake and Lake Powell,
and enjoyed camping and fishing. Miladeen loved working on family
genealogy, and sewing. Ernest enjoyed working on automobiles and
attending baseball games at Ken Lindley Field in Prescott, Arizona.

Miladeen and Ernest are preceded in death by their parents, Yulee
Hardin, Alma Blaine, Eugene Blaine, Ernest Price Sr. Elnore Cawhorn
and John Leitherland; sister and brother-in-law, Coleen and Chuck
Church; brothers, Jimmy Blaine and Bobby Leitherland; daughter,
Barbara Hunt; and grandson, John T. Hunt.

The family wants to thank Kindred Hospice for their caring and
compassion for our loved ones.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in their name to St.
Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

Celebration of their lives will be held Saturday, Jan. 27, at 2
p.m., at The Heights, 2121 Larry Caldwell Dr., Prescott, Arizona,
86301.
