A Rosary will begin at 10 a.m., Friday, Feb. 2, 2018, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 150 Fleury in Prescott. The Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at 1 p.m. at Heritage Memorial Park at 12010 E. Heritage Memorial Lane in Dewey with military honors. Heritage Memory Mortuary handled the arrangements. --------------------------- The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Thursday, February 1, 2018, page 5a Patrick Pompa Jacquez, 94, of Prescott, Arizona, died Jan. 22, 2018, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 23, 1923, to Higino and Senona (Pompa) Jacquez in Jerome, Arizona. Pat Jacquez Sr., affectionately known as Chulo and Papa Chulo, was a resident of Prescott for 62 years. He retired from the Whipple V.A. Hospital in the 1980’s, where he worked in Food Service. Earlier in his life he worked for the City of Prescott in the sanitation department. Pat is fondly remembered for singing while he worked and while at home. He loved music and playing the guitar at home for family and as a way of welcoming friends. His voice was gentle, smooth and soothing, which made everyone feel at home. He was best loved for his wonderful sense of humor and gift for telling jokes. Pat was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Rosalie Jacquez. He is survived by his five children, Victoria Jacquez, Mary (John) Robinson, Erlinda (Michael) Evans, Pat Jacquez Jr., and Robert “Trini” (Mary) Jacquez; his four grandchildren, Jennifer (Tom) Golleher, Johanna (Brian) Shepard, Vanessa Evans and Eric Evans; and eight great-grandchildren. Pat is also survived by his sister, Rosa Jaime. He passed away peacefully in his own home in the company of his children. A rosary will begin at 10 a.m. with the funeral mass to follow at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 2, 2018, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 150 Fleury Ave., in Prescott. Burial will follow the at Heritage Memorial Park at 12010 E. Heritage Memorial Lane in Dewey, Arizona. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Heritage Memory Mortuary.
