| Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ >>> Published on Thursday, April 16, 2015 <<< Eloise Shaha lost her battle with leukemia, March 20, 2015 at Stanford Medical Center in Palo Alto, Calif., surrounded by her family. Eloise was born June 18, 1951, in Humboldt County. She attended Ferndale and Eureka High, graduating from Eureka High in 1969. While attending Ferndale High, Eloise met Dennis Shaha, whom she fell in love with and remained in love with till her very last day. In 2014, after living in Humboldt County for most of their lives, Dennis and Eloise left Eureka to move to Lake Havasu City to retire. Eloise was happiest when she was with her family, especially at her lake house at Trinity Lake where she loved to lay in the pool and swim for hours. Eloise was incredibly proud of and loved her grandchildren more than anything else in life. She loved attending all of their sporting events as they grew up and was incredibly proud of their accomplishments. After retiring to Lake Havasu, you could always find Eloise out on the lake, in the pool or at the Java Rush Café, a coffee shop owned by her daughter. She also loved to travel the world with her three favorite travel companions, her daughter and her two granddaughters, Maddison and Sophia. In her final years, Eloise also enjoyed traveling with her husband to car shows where he showed his Chevrolet Biscayne, or as they have called it, the Biscuit. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Dennis Shaha; her son, Louie (Sabrina); her daughter, Chanda (Todd); five grandchildren, Jordyn, Brady, Maddison, Grace and Sophia. The list of people who loved her that she is leaving behind is incredibly long, but those whom she loved were always aware of her feelings toward them. If you were lucky enough to befriend Eloise Shaha you knew that you had a friend and a constant supporter for life. |
